Early July we invited friends of the choir and the public to join us for a Come and Sing of Mozart and Süssmayr's fantastic masterpiece.
Before the concert, Geoff, the MD of the church, interviewed our MD Rudy on the mythos and history of this work as a concert introduction.
Luckily we had a most wonderful assembled choir which was able to fulfill most of the details which were asked in an intense two hour rehearsal and the result was absolutely wonderful. As the main camera decided not to record, we underlaid the music with the original autograph and the copied autograph by Süssmayr with all his additions and hope this brings to live the history of one of music's earliest known and most renowned forgeries...
A huge thank you to Joe Watson, who did a wonderful job of reducing the orchestra to organ and to get everything possible out of the available registers. It was wonderful to have our Soloists Ellen, Phoebe and Matt who jumped in at the last moment due to an illness and did such a wonderful job.
